About This Webinar
Avoid regulatory pitfalls while growing your RTO brand.
Marketing is no longer just a promotional activity for RTOs. Under the revised regulatory framework, it is a governance function that directly affects transparency, student decision-making, and the integrity of the VET sector.
The Outcome Standards for RTOs 2025 require providers to ensure prospective learners receive clear, accurate, and accessible information about training products, including entry requirements, delivery modes, duration, and expected outcomes. At the same time, the Compliance Standards impose strict requirements on advertising practices, requiring RTOs to accurately represent training services and ensure all marketing materials use correct training product information.
Regulatory guidance continues to highlight common compliance risks such as misleading course information, omission of training product codes, promotion of superseded qualifications, unrealistic outcome claims, and inadequate disclosure of third-party arrangements.
This webinar explores how RTOs can implement effective governance systems to manage marketing and recruitment practices, ensuring information provided to prospective learners is accurate, transparent, and aligned with regulatory expectations while protecting organisational reputation and sector integrity.
What Will I Learn?
This webinar provides a practical framework for managing marketing and recruitment information in a way that supports both regulatory compliance and organisational credibility.
Participants will explore how to design and implement systems that ensure all public information about training products is accurate, consistent, and regularly reviewed, regardless of whether it is published on the RTO’s website, in printed materials, or through third-party marketing arrangements.
The session will explain how marketing activities fit within a broader RTO governance model, where policies, procedures, and quality assurance mechanisms ensure that information distributed to prospective students reflects the organisation’s approved training and assessment arrangements.
By the end of the webinar, participants will understand how to:
- establish structured internal processes to ensure marketing materials are verified for accuracy before publication
- implement quality assurance mechanisms that maintain consistency between marketing information and operational training practices
- monitor advertising and recruitment activities to ensure information remains current when training products, delivery modes, or scope change
- manage third-party recruitment or promotional activities while maintaining full regulatory accountability
- identify and mitigate compliance risks associated with misleading claims, inducements, or unrealistic training outcomes.
