20 December communiqu\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0NSSC announced its decision to cease compulsory reporting against the Learner Engagement and Employer Satisfaction Quality Indicators through the SMART system.\u00a0This announcement produced confusion in some RTO’s staff as the decision was actually about the SMART System and not about the Quality Indicators itself, and RTOs are still required to collect, analyse and report against the Quality Indicators and report to their regulator.<\/p>The fact ACER is no longer funded to provide help to RTOs in the reporting process, sends a message to all stakeholders about the “success” and impact of the current structure of Quality Indicators on RTOs\u00a0operations. Perhaps we need to evolve towards a more flexible system, with clear parameters but flexible enough to e adapted to different learning groups, industries and delivery modes.\u00a0<\/p>
RTOs within ASQA’s jurisdiction may be required to provide information to ASQA at any time in accordance with the Data Provision Requirements 2011 (part of the VET Quality Framework), and Quality Indicator data reports (competency completion, employer satisfaction, learner engagement) for the 2011 calendar year must be provided to ASQA by 30 June 2012.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
