RTO’S REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

Leading an RTO requires a clear understanding of legislation and regulations relevant to RTO’s operations.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This webinar will provide participants with a clear snapshot of VET legislations and regulations, and its impact to the RTO’s operation. This is a great opportunity for executives and managers with limited exposure to RTO’s compliance, to understand how to navigate the complex VET regulatory world, and understand the basics of VET compliance.

BUYING ASSESSMENT TOOLS

We have identified an increasing trend of RTOs buying assessment tools from commercial providers, instead of developing these assessment resources in-house. These tools often include a 100% Compliance Guarantee and although they seems to be a cost-effective option for RTO managers and resource developers, many RTOs have ended up in a critical non-compliant position when audited by ASQA.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

It is critical to use the right assessment tools and according to the latest information published by ASQA, when audited only 28.5% of RTOs demonstrate compliance with Clause 1.8 (Assessment systems and practices).

This webinar will show you how to evaluate and select the right assessment tools for your RTO. We provide the criteria you should use so you have a clear idea of what to look for, what questions to ask and a checklist that can be implemented immediately in your RTO.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the minimum components of a compliant assessment tool
  • Identify what assessment tools are suitable for your RTO
  • Understand regulatory requirements for RTOs
  • Develop the criteria to select assessment tools

Impact Objectives

  • Improve compliance with Clause 1.8
  • Reduce rectification and/or remediation required, as a result of non-compliance

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

Currently, RTOs must complete Compulsory Quality Indicator Questionnaires to evaluate learning programs.
Are these Learner and Employer Questionnaires giving your RTO the necessary data for continuous improvement?
Evaluating quality drifted towards a strong paper-based compliance, but not anymore. ASQA's new audit model is giving
a lot more weight to evidence of the students' learning journey (experience) and outcomes of training programs.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This session will discuss effective methods to evaluate training, how to prepare an appropriate data collection plan, effectively collect and analyse data, and most importantly, use the outcomes of the evaluation for continuous improvement. This session will introduce the chain of effect, using the five levels of evaluation (reaction, learning, application, effect and ROI).

The facilitator will provide examples of methods used to collect relevant data at different levels, and will provide advice about how these methods will help you to produce evidence for audit.

You will also receive a free copy of the ROI Methodology Guide.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the principles of training evaluation
  • Identify qualitative and quantitative data to be collected
  • Review different methods to collect data
  • Identify techniques to analyse data
  • Use a scorecard to present evaluation outcomes

Application Objectives

  • Create a suitable data collection plan, within two weeks
  • Identify stakeholders for the evaluation process
  • Use data collection methods effectively
  • Use evaluation outcomes for continuous improvement

Impact Objectives

  • Improve levels of student and employer satisfaction
  • Improve the effectiveness of the “continuous improvement cycle”
  • Minimise the time required to produce evidence for compliance
